The England v France 2019 Six Nations match was won by England. Not only won, but won by 36 points. Only once before in Test rugby have they won by a greater margin against France – a 37-0 victory in 1911.
Jonny May also crossed for three tries, the first England hat-trick against France since 1924. His three tries also took his tally to 12 (from 13 matches) since the beginning of 2018. This puts him one ahead of Rieko Ioane over the same period.
There was more to the match than records though. In this video The 1014 Rugby review the match and explore the English kick game, the French back field, Henry Slade and a lot more.
